Lexi grew up in the tiny mountain town of Garden Valley, ID where she spent her time hiking, camping, floating the river, and essentially, just playing in the dirt. After high school, she completed her B.A. and M.A. in English Literature at Central Washington University and taught Introductory Composition. Her literary interests include nineteenth-century American fiction (particularly short stories by Edgar Allan Poe) and Foucauldian discourse. Her non-professional interests include backpacking with her giant rottweiler puppy, practicing yoga, and drinking single malt scotch.

Karen is the former editorial manager for Bodybuilding.com and has written on topics such as health, education, and women’s issues. As executive assistant to Nobel laureate Dr. Louis Ignarro and Dr. Andrew Myers, she managed and edited the Health Is Wealth and Heart Health Initiative websites and copy edited the third in their book series, “The Heart Health Initiative.” In her spare time, Karen writes trivia content for Sporcle.com, watches everything ever aired on PBS, and grows vegetables she probably won’t eat.
