Dan Syvertson

Editor

Hello, I’m Dan Syvertson. I hail from the city of Fargo, in the Great Plains state of North Dakota. Although the winters are bitterly cold, the people are warm and friendly. I’ve spent the past six years teaching English to high school students, but am now excited to be a part of The Newsletter Pro team. During my spare time, you can find me poking around a garden or hiking through the Boise foothills. On lazier days, I can be found sipping a cup of coffee as I read a good book or mashing buttons on my Nintendo video game system.

Hi! I’m Tyler Brewington, sworn enemy of passive constructions and misplaced apostrophes. I studied writing and linguistics as an undergraduate at Boise State and Portland State, and ultimately got an MFA in poetry from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. I’m a contributing editor at a new poetry press called Gramma, and I’ve also written professionally for Atelier Ace and Wieden + Kennedy. When my nose isn’t in a book it’s usually hiking around in the foothills, in front of a movie screen, or nuzzling my cat, Joan, who is the world’s best and prettiest.

My name is Connor Jay Liess, but my friends call me Connor Jay Liess. I am super stoked to be on the The Newsletter Pro team! I just graduated from Boise State University, where I went to get educated, specifically in English and creative writing. My goal is to someday get my master’s in English and shatter the perception of the quintessential tweed-wearing, pipe-smoking, literature or fiction writing professor. Simply put, I like cold weather, 20th century literature, rural communities, bourbon, blues, cabins, classic cars, motorcycles, hockey, and genuine people.

        Editor

Hi there! My name is Justin Kirkham, and I’m looking forward to working as an editor with The Newsletter Pro. I recently graduated from Boise State with a degree in communication, an emphasis in media production, and a minor in English. After spending a couple years teaching private piano lessons and rallying daycare children, I joined The Arbiter staff as an A&E writer and eventually made my way up to editor-in-chief. Whenever I’m not editing, reading, or writing, I’m usually watching television series after series, training Pokémon, or fighting dragons as an arcane mage.

          Lead Editor

My name is Chantel Fox, and I make sure the text in your newsletters is polished and ready for your customers to enjoy! I am a Boise State University alumni with degrees in English, communications, and journalism. After working as the communications director for a congressional campaign, I became the managing editor at a popular extreme-couponing website, and now I’m thrilled to be a part of The Newsletter Pro team! When I’m not working, I can be found geeking out on movies, TV shows, and pop-culture trivia; shopping estate sales, yard sales, and thrift stores to find cool, kitschy items from the 50s and 60s; or spending time with my amazing husband Rowdy and our six fur babies.
